Oh man does this book deliver on feminine rage. Sciona is the first female to pass the test to become a highmage. She then finds herself amongst sexist assholes. When she find out the dark secret hiding at the research academy, she comes up with a plan to unwind their plot.

Celeana Sardothian is nothing if not full of feminine rage. She was an orphan, an assassin, a slave. She wants to find out who has condemned her yet has her own secrets to keep. The characters that get introduced throughout the series add to the powerhouse that is this feminist series.
